Role
Responsible for end to end product design.
Designed and launched a price tracking tool for trading cards.
Overview

Responsible for end to end product design.
1 designer, 1 product managers 5+ engineers.
2022 - 2023 with initial launch and subsequent iterations.
Finding out how much cards were worth on eBay was a very laborious, manual process. Secondly, eBay was losing to the competition due to data quality issues.
Customers rely on a search-based workflow, browsing from broad to narrow query to better understand specific card value.
eBay market data is perceived as untrustworthy due to poor matches to searches and “fake listings”.
Trading card prices fluctuate rapidly, so understanding and being able to track these changes is significant.
Trading card customers typically buy and sell on eBay. Underscoring the need for relevant metrics and opportunities to transact on both parts of the market place.
Designed and delivered a price tracking tool that aggregates and displays past eBay transaction data in a trustworthy, digestible, and actionable way.
We learned in research that customers search interatively and are interested in viewing important factors like grade, variation, and buying format.

Customers can understand how much their cards are worth on eBay for the first time through eBay market value metric, price trends and filtering, and aggregated volume stats.

Customers can view the eBay transactions that power the dataset and pricing metrics above, therefore peeling back the curtain and building trust.
